FLUID EXCHANGE

The exhibition was a result of a collaboration of ideas with Jodi Rockwell. The mattress as a familiar yet unexplored object provided us with the common ground. Deconstructing its conceptual implications, autobiographical and emotional meaning, as well as its very structure, we arrived at forms that still represent the body. We considered the mattress as both a personal, private space and as a receptacle like the body itself; absorbing, holding, filtering and excreting fluids.
