installation, CMA Gallery, UW, Seattle, 2003
porcelain, polyurethane, sewing thread, cable, sound, video, fan, metal boxes
Visitors enter the installation at the foot of the 15 foot long porcelain bed and walk alongside to the opposite end. The room is filled with a murmur of a subtle heartbeat, slowing down and dying off, then restarting again. On the walls, in two rectangular boxes, a fan blows on layers of sheer fabric, and a video image of a red waterfall pulsates with the beat.
